About Anita Richwine

Began her 17-year newspaper career as a lifestyle/features editor for a small daily in her hometown of Latrobe located in southwestern Pennsylvania. Moved to Dayton, Ohio with her family in the mid-60s and joined a weekly newspaper where she earned numerous regional and national honors for her writing and layout designs including the prestigious Penney-Missouri Awards for Excellence (three-time winner) presented annually by the University of Missouri.

Entered the healthcare communications field in 1977 as publications editor of a large medical center. As Director of Public Relations, she focused on building a strong media relations program. Under her management, staff publications, and community relations projects received national recognition from several professional organizations.

Established a solo practitioner public relations consulting business in 1994. Published in 2002 her first nonfiction book exploring the value of humor for mid-life singles, Suddenly Alone. You’re 50-Plus and Single Again. Now What? Currently working on her second book.
